FCDC Member Feature
Humble, under the radar, quiet, and sitting in the background. That is how I would describe one of our top industries in the county. Select Steel has been in operation since 2008. However, their history and their experience goes way beyond that. Select Steel is a quiet gem that is located in Wellsville but has a global footprint and a strong but quiet community presence.
It is always exciting to feature one of our FCDC members. I am proud
to share with you this week as we feature American Eagle Outfitters.
This company is an outstanding member of our community and we
are proud to list them among our membership here at the Franklin
County Development Council.
If you drive into the city of Ottawa, you will most likely pass right by our tallest building and hardly think anything of it.Those of us that have lived in Kansas all of our lives have become use to seeing grain elevators when we travel about this
great state of ours. These are Kansas skyscrapers. In most cases they are the home of an area CO-OP that serves our agricultural industry. Our community is fortunate to be the
home of the Ottawa CO-OP, which has 15 locations in six different
counties.
FCDC has tremendous membership from industry and businesses throughout Franklin County. We like to lift up our members and share with the community the great services being provided by our local industry and businesses. This particular newsletter is lifting up Quality Structures, better known as (QSI), located in Richmond, KS.
